Starting point: Tambolaka (West Sumba) | Ending point: Waingapu (East Sumba)

Day 1 – Arrival in Tambolaka – Western Charm

Meet your guide at Tambolaka Airport and transfer to your lodge near Waikabubak. Visit local markets and megalithic tombs in Tarung Village to understand Sumba’s ancient Marapu culture.

Day 2 – Lapopu Waterfall & Wanokaka Valley

Drive through rolling hills to Lapopu Waterfall for a refreshing swim. Continue to Wanokaka Valley, dotted with traditional thatched houses. Sunset walk along the rice terraces before returning to your eco-resort.

Day 3 – Weekuri Lagoon & Mandorak Beach

Head west to the crystal-blue Weekuri Lagoon and pristine Mandorak Beach. Picnic lunch and snorkeling in calm waters. On the return, stop at local salt-making families.

Day 4 – Kodi Villages & Nihiwatu Beach

Explore the coastal villages of Kodi, famous for tall ancestral houses and megalithic graves. Afternoon at leisure on Nihiwatu Beach — often rated among the world’s most beautiful.

Day 5 – Central Sumba – Waterfalls & Savannahs

Journey eastward across wide open savannas. Visit Lokomboro Waterfall and rural markets. Check in to your lodge near Waingapu and relax with views over endless grasslands.

Day 6 – Prailiu Village & Wairinding Hill

Discover Prailiu Village, where artisans weave exquisite ikat textiles using natural dyes. In the afternoon, climb Wairinding Hill for breathtaking panoramic views at sunset.

Day 7 – Waingapu – Departure

Free time for last-minute shopping or photography before your transfer to Waingapu Airport.
