JAVA – Java Heritage Trail (7 Days / 6 Nights)

A cultural and natural journey across Central and East Java: royal palaces, UNESCO-listed temples, and dramatic volcanoes — from Yogyakarta’s heritage to Mount Bromo’s sunrise sea of clouds.

Starting point: Yogyakarta | Ending point: Surabaya or Bali (by ferry)

Day 1 – Arrival Yogyakarta – City Introduction
Arrive at Yogyakarta Airport and meet your guide. Private transfer to hotel and short evening orientation along Malioboro Street — the city’s lively artery filled with batik, street food, and music. Overnight in Yogyakarta.

Day 2 – Royal City & Artisans of Yogyakarta
Visit the Sultan’s Kraton Palace and the Taman Sari Water Castle. Continue to local batik and silver workshops in Kotagede. Enjoy a lunch of traditional gudeg, then explore the city’s modern art scene before returning to your hotel.

Day 3 – Borobudur & Prambanan Temples
Early departure to admire sunrise over the Borobudur Temple — the world’s largest Buddhist monument. After breakfast nearby, visit Mendut and Pawon temples, then drive east to explore the Hindu complex of Prambanan with its graceful towers and reliefs. Overnight Yogyakarta.

Day 4 – Yogyakarta – Malang (Scenic Drive)
Leave for Malang, crossing central Java’s countryside, terraced farms, and tea plantations. Stop at local markets and small villages for photos. Arrive Malang by late afternoon.

Day 5 – Mount Bromo Adventure
Depart at 3 a.m. for a 4×4 jeep ride to Penanjakan viewpoint and watch sunrise over the smoking Bromo volcano. Walk across the “Sea of Sand” to the crater rim. Breakfast and free time before heading back to hotel in Bromo or Probolinggo.

Day 6 – Madakaripura Waterfall & Surabaya
After breakfast, visit Madakaripura Waterfall — a hidden canyon of mist and light. Continue to Surabaya for city tour or shopping in Tunjungan Plaza. Farewell dinner optional.

Day 7 – Departure or Connection to Bali
Free morning before airport transfer. Option to continue by road and ferry to Bali for an extended holiday.
