Borneo – Rainforest & Sea Escape (6 Days / 5 Nights)

Combine the dense rainforests of Tanjung Puting with a peaceful island retreat in Derawan or Maratua for diving and snorkeling — a journey from the heart of the jungle to the turquoise waters of the Celebes Sea.

Day 1 – Arrival Pangkalan Bun – Board Klotok

Arrive in Pangkalan Bun and board your traditional wooden klotok boat. Cruise slowly along the Sekonyer River surrounded by lush rainforest. Dinner and overnight on board under the stars.

Day 2 – Tanjung Harapan & Camp Leakey

Morning visit to Tanjung Harapan for orangutan feeding, followed by forest trekking with rangers. Afternoon boat ride to Camp Leakey for a second feeding session and encounters with semi-wild orangutans. Overnight on the klotok.

Day 3 – Kumai – Flight to Berau (via Balikpapan)

After breakfast, return to Kumai for transfer to the airport. Fly to East Kalimantan and continue by boat to Derawan Island. Check in to your beach resort and relax by the sea.

Day 4 – Snorkeling with Turtles

Explore Derawan’s crystal-clear waters filled with green turtles and coral gardens. Optional diving trips available for certified divers.

Day 5 – Maratua Island & Lagoon Excursion

Boat trip to nearby Maratua Island to visit hidden lagoons and small fishing villages. Afternoon free to swim or snorkel in calm turquoise waters.

Day 6 – Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before returning by boat and flight to Balikpapan for your onward journey.
